Hi there! I am Aidan, the owner of Eastern Utah and Colorado Weather on Facebook and Instagram. I wanted to create my own website where I can show case ALL (at least the ones that I can find) tornadoes that have happened since pre 1950 across Eastern Utah and Western Colorado. (consider this a unofficial database but containing information from both the NWS and third parties)

 

I don't know how well this will go, since I don't have an idea yet on how this will look, but hopefully it will look good. I will be using the NWS/NOAA, as well as other online sources and photos from a Google Drive folder that was given to me by the NWS in Grand Junction. ​

 

I believe you can use this for any purpose, since most of the information/images is public domain, just be aware of copyright laws regarding third parties (go here for information regarding use).

 

So you are more than welcome to use this for education, history, curiosity reasons, or just to spread the word about how this small region of the Western US experiences tornadoes relatively often, and not just some myth (because there is a myth that tornadoes can't happen near/on mountains/valley locations)
